About Banjo Astro After Dark: On Songs and Science!

Banjo Astro After Dark celebrates the interplay between science and art. We are a community of local musicians, song writers, scientists, and everyday people who engage practices of wonder and hope, who celebrate mystery, and the ways both music and science open us up to infinity.

The highlight of what we do are evening events where local singer-songwriters share original songs written to explore the connections between a specific astrophysical theme and our lives. We weave these songs with short presentations about astronomy, digging deeper into the mysteries of the night.

In addition to concerts and shows, we offer workshops, a blog, song writing lessons, and lots of other awesome ways for people to engage both their inner artist and scientist, and increase our wonder.
